Hello and welcome to Trafton Academy's website.  I am  pleased to say that I am the administrative assistant at  Trafton Academy.  I feel so blessed to have this position and look forward to another fantastic year.

My association with Trafton Academy began when my husband and I transferred our oldest child here when he was in second grade.  He's now twenty-six, so my family and I have been part of the Trafton family for quite a few years.

My husband Chuck and I have been married for thirty-four years.  We have two wonderful children who are proud graduates of  Trafton Academy.  Joe, our son who is twenty-five and a member of the Trafton Class of 1998, lives in Baton Rouge and works with various film companies in our state.   Our daughter Ashley, who is twenty-three and a member of the Trafton Class of 2001, is a graduate of LSU with a degree in Psychology.  Ashley just completed her first year of graduate studies at LSU, working toward a Master's Degree in Education.   We and they, of course, are all avid LSU fans!

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education, grades one through eight.  My entire career as a classroom teacher has been here at Trafton.

I have been associated with Trafton for nineteen years -- from being a parent volunteer to my current assignment as the eighth grade homeroom teacher.  I have also been the computer lab coordinator and have taught grades 2, 4, 5, and 7.

I feel very privileged to be a part of the great family at Trafton Academy.  I believe our faculty and staff is comprised of some of the most talented and dedicated people around.  I know that through the efforts of teachers, staff, and parents, we will be able to continue the academic excellence that is Trafton.

     Have a great year!
